#29: Ulysses S. Grant Was Arrested for Speeding on a Horse
Ulysses S. Grant loved fast horses a little too much — enough that a D.C. police officer arrested him for speeding on horseback. Even funnier, Grant didn’t pull rank or get special treatment. He apologized, paid the fine, and walked home like a perfectly normal (and slightly embarrassed) citizen.

It’s a rare moment where the president literally got caught horsing around. The cop later admitted he was nervous arresting the commander-in-chief, but Grant insisted the law applied to everyone. Honestly? Kind of a wholesome story for a guy known for Civil War intensity.
