The Barking Retriever
A man in Michigan fell in the snow and broke his neck. Luckily for this man, he was walking with his golden retriever. The dog sat by his owner’s side for 20 hours barking the entire time until help finally arrived. Even after the man went unconscious, this dog kept barking to get a neighbor to come to save his human friend.

Doberman Saves Toddler
A beautiful Doberman was outside with his toddler human and noticed that a king brown snake was nearby. The Doberman started to snarl, but the snake didn’t flinch. This heroic doggy took the toddler by the diaper and flung the toddler away, but this startled the king brown snake, who then lunged and bit the Doberman. So, you can see that this heroic Doberman saved a toddler from the venomous bite of a king brown snake that day!

The Heroic Quaker Parrot
During a routine babysitting session, Willie the quaker parrot started saying “mama baby” over and over while the babysitter was in the bathroom. The babysitter came out of the bathroom to find the 2-year-old turning blue. This child was choking on something and the family’s pet parrot sounded the alarm, thus giving the babysitter time to respond and perform the Heimlich maneuver to save the toddler’s life.

The Crazy Meower
A gas-powered water pump started leaking carbon monoxide at the home of the Keesling family when their cat let out a meow like no other meow they’d heard before. Winnie, the kitty, wouldn’t let up. She kept meowing until her owner got up to see that her son and husband were already unconscious from the carbon monoxide. She called 911 and the family was saved by their heroic cat’s meow.

Runaway German Shepard
When an Anchorage workshop caught fire in 2010, the owner yelled to his German Shepard that he needed help. The dog quickly ran off into the woods. Buddy, the German Shepard, being a smart doggy ran to the nearest road and found a state trooper. The state trooper followed Buddy back to the Anchorage workshop to find the fire and called the fire department. The blaze was put out before it reached the owner’s home, thus making this runaway German Shepard a hero!

A Dog Named Shrek
A dog named Shrek was in the backyard with the family’s 10-year-old son when a fox came into the yard and attacked their chickens. When the fox was done with the chickens, it turned to the young boy. The family dog, Shrek, noticed the fox heading for the boy and lunged in front of the boy taking a few bites into the fox head to get it away. The boy was scooped up by the parents, but Shrek kept fighting the fox until after 25-minutes the standoff subsided.

Protection from Coyotes
A family’s teen son was on a fishing trip with his aunt and cousin along with their dog, Sako. During this trip, the vehicle they were driving fell down a steep hill and the only two survivors were the teenage boy and his dog. Sako stayed with the boy keeping him warm and fighting off coyotes, as well as helping the boy get to a creek for water all night long until help arrived.
