I have a sad announcement and apologize for any negative emotions it evokes in any of your parts. I am saddened to announce that the art of proofreading is dead. It no longer exists, a relic of a forgotten age, only to continue in select spheres of society.

We who were familiar with it back in the day will mourn its passing. The rest of us will live on unknowingly, unaware of how drastically worse the world is without proofreading – the world where “People are eating children in this area” with no font change, and no punctuation marks are acceptable.
