To be fair, they never specified that they would provide the help or, if so, what kind of help it would be. They never even said anything about taking care of potential dangers. The only thing they considered was the person’s feeling unsafe; perhaps pressing the button would alleviate that.

The only problem is that there isn’t a button. I wonder if the victims of this shameful mistake realize immediately that the service promised hasn’t actually been provided or whether they instead spend their time pressing each of the wall screws and trying to figure out which one is the correct button.
