#20: Three-Eyed-Fish – “Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish” – Season 2, Episode 4 (1990)
Blinky the three-eyed fish swims into Springfield lore as a symbol of nuclear negligence, caught just outside the power plant and displayed as a grotesque punchline. At the time, it was a perfect exaggeration of environmental concerns.

However, in 2011, fishermen in Argentina discovered a three-eyed fish in a reservoir near a nuclear facility. The resemblance was uncanny. A once-cartoonish warning about radiation and pollution suddenly surfaced in reality, proving that The Simpsons wasn’t just making jokes.
