#12: Acting Critique or Interview?
Russell Crowe is another star that has gained a reputation for having a short temper. This encounter from 2010 is pretty tame, but still shows that he doesn’t tolerate any funny business when it comes to interviews. During a BBC Radio 4 interview, the host criticized his performance in Robin Hood.
The host said that Russell Crowe’s accent sounded more Irish than English. Crowe, who is from New Zealand by way of Australia, took offense to this unsolicited critique. He dug his heels in and defended his work instead of taking the comment as constructive feedback. Both Irish and English citizens have admitted that Crowe’s accent was all over the place in that movie, so the host wasn’t exactly wrong to criticize him!
