#9: Nice Try
Marketing is all about the spin. Nowadays, many brands try to create workarounds that make it look like their products are made in the USA. Saying that something is “assembled” in the US is a not-so-clever way of pasting America’s name on a product while still producing cheap products in another country.

At this point, most customers don’t fall for this marketing spin. We’re all perfectly aware that “assembly” usually just involves packaging, not production. Even so, this golf club company still tried to make it seem like their product was “made in America.” The thing is, they totally misspelled “assembly.” It’s like they didn’t even try that hard.
