At one point or another, we have all been in a situation where someone thought they heard how to pronounce a name and absolutely butchered it. Sure, rectifying this isn’t such a big deal, considering all you have to do is correct them and let them know the right answer. But that isn’t always so easy in every situation.
What are you meant to do when a little kid thinks your name is something else and gets so much joy out of it? It would honestly be rude to confuse them with your actual name… But to be honest, it wasn’t even the kid who started this whole thing; it was the woman’s husband, of all people! And he definitely knows her name…
