#5: Your Washing Machine Is Dirty
Nobody ever thinks about a dirty washing machine. After all, it’s consistently filled with soap and water, which are then sloshed all around. That’s bound to keep the inside of your machine clean, right? So how could it possibly be dirty? Believe it or not, your washing machine could likely do with a good washing of its own.

Your detergent leaves behind residue after use, which builds up inside your washing machine. This buildup is an attractive place for bacteria to move in and set up camp. Rather than allowing that to happen, run the machine once a month with special cleaners designed to scrub it for you. Your clothes will thank you.
