#49: Listen to Understand, Not to Reply
It feels like these days people don’t know how to listen. Most people don’t really listen when talking to you, but rather wait for their turn to speak. Everyone seems to think that what they have to say is more important than anything anyone else has to say.
We’d all be better off if we learned how to truly listen to one another rather than stare at them blankly as we wait for our turn to speak. You’d be surprised what a difference it can make for you and for the person you’re speaking with.
