#28: Heavy Load
Kids today seem to have larger backpacks than ever, and it’s taking a toll on them. They seem to carry more and more books with them every year and have so many other school supplies they need at the same time. We seem to be putting too much on our kids’ backs – literally.

Carrying around exceedingly heavy items on our backs is likely to lead to problems down the road. It can first lead to back and neck pain, then ultimately to nerve or spine damage. To prevent these future problems, help your kiddo pare down their bag and only carry what they absolutely need. Or get them a rolling backpack.
