The United States is considered by some to be a land of opportunity. However, there are some golden opportunities that we totally missed as a country. Take poutine, for example. This Canadian staple consists of fries, cheese, and gravy all served together as one delicious, gooey mess. It’s confounding that this dish has yet to take off in the United States.

One Canadian pointed out that Americans love fries, gravy, and cheese. How could a country such as ours not become obsessed with poutine? It combines the holy grail of America’s favorite foods. There must be some kind of anti-poutine conspiracy going on because the US seems like the perfect untapped market on paper, yet it never took off.
