All Insurance is Not Created Equal
Since the US doesn’t have universal healthcare, many people depend on their employers for health insurance coverage. However, if you’re lucky enough to have an employer-provided health plan, it’s not guaranteed to be awesome. For readers outside the States, it’s important to know that all health plans are not created equal.
Just because you have health insurance doesn’t mean you can pop into any old doctor’s office. You have to make sure your doctor is “in-network” before you visit. Otherwise, you’re not covered. Also, you could be paying up the wazoo for healthcare and still have to shell out a co-pay the next time you visit your doctor. How fun!
