#38: His First Ever Movie Was Filmed in Belfast, Ireland
Liam Neeson’s first film appearance came in Pilgrim’s Progress (1978), a modest religious production shot in Belfast, where he portrayed both Jesus Christ and The Evangelist. The role was a curious and symbolically loaded debut, especially for someone still discovering what kind of actor he wanted to be.

Though the film didn’t reach a wide audience, the experience of working on a real set and committing to a role with conviction gave him invaluable lessons. It also gave him his first taste of screen presence, the quiet but magnetic force that would become a hallmark of his career.
