You’ve Been Warned
Usually, when you open up a book, you can expect to read a foreword, maybe a dedication note from the author for the person who inspired or helped him write the book, or a table of contents, as well as some information about the publication. Instead, this author decided to warn their readers about what they can expect from this book.
You see, the author wanted to notify his readers not to be alarmed that the book starts on page 145. It’s no mistake, but the author wanted to make the book less intimidating. This author really cares about the reader, the feeling of holding a book, and wants the reader to be completely comfortable throughout the experience. True bookworms totally get it.
