#11: Carlin Glynn Then
Carlin Glynn played Brenda Baker, Samantha’s frazzled but well-meaning mother. She bustled through the family chaos, hilariously unaware of Sam’s forgotten birthday while juggling wedding preparations for her older daughter. Glynn’s mix of scattered energy and maternal warmth made Brenda both funny and endearing, perfectly capturing overwhelmed parenthood.

Though a supporting role, Glynn brought sharp comic timing to every scene. Her exasperated expressions and flustered pacing gave the Baker household its believable bedlam, grounding the movie’s teen angst in relatable family disorder and subtly highlighting how invisible teenagers can feel amid adult distractions.
