#30: Hands Off
I’m lucky in a lot of ways in that I work from a computer. The biggest risks that I face are carpal tunnel, back pain, and my sciatica flaring up because my body apparently thinks that I’m thirty years older than I am. I’ve never heard of anyone losing a finger while working at a computer. People who work in factories aren’t always so lucky.
But, as cruel as it sounds to say this, this person really only has themselves to blame. If you’re working with manufacturing machinery, and you ignore not one but two warning signs saying “Really, we promise you’re going to regret it if you stick your hand in here”… well, I’m sorry, buddy, but you really only have yourself to blame.
