#27: Oh, Baby
I’ve worked in technical writing before, and let me tell you, it is not fun trying to warn people about dangers. You want to spell it out very explicitly, but a lot of people just refuse to read long blocks of text (or even short ones, for that matter). So you try to come up with visuals or other methods for forcing people to look at and process this vital information.
But even visual representations of information that you thought was super clear and super unmistakable can be misinterpreted by people who aren’t really paying attention. In this case, a guy looked at an image of a baby and thought that it was a sign that it was safe for babies, rather than extremely dangerous for babies.
