#23: This Could End Badly
Small appliances are in enough people’s homes that you would assume that the average person knows the basics of how to use and clean them. If you assumed that, though, you might be wrong. In fact, maybe it’s the fact that they are so common that makes people cocky; they assume they know perfectly well how to use them, when in fact, they don’t.

What makes this post 100 times better is the reveal that the manager who very nearly electrocuted herself trying to clean a toaster is the health and safety officer in the building. I imagine this incident really undermined any sort of authority she had in that position. I hope they never had a real health and safety problem there because I’m not sure she’s ready to deal with it.
