#15: The Daily Grind
So, confession time: I don’t actually drink coffee, so I’m not really aware of how you make it. However, if I did ever have to make some, I think I could make an educated guess that the beans are supposed to be grounded. Just pouring the water over the top of the beans seems like it would be as effective as running water over, say, a bunch of carrots. It would not really make the water carrot flavored.
But apparently, my excellent carrot analogy did not occur to this person, who could not figure out why their coffee-making procedure didn’t seem to be yielding useful results. It does make you wonder how someone gets themselves hired at Starbucks without knowing how to make coffee.
