#14: It’s Electrifying
Most of the stuff that we have talked about so far has been fairly benign stupidity. Sure, these mistakes might make customers mad, and they might waste time or money, but none of them have been the sort of mistakes that could send a person to the hospital—or, worse, the morgue. But depending on where you work, the mistakes you make could be genuinely dangerous.
This intern was extraordinarily lucky that wiser and more experienced people than him were watching and were able to stop him before he made what could have been a life-threatening mistake. I hope he learned to be grateful and to be a lot more careful when handling live wires.
