Rich Yet Cheap
I’m so fascinated by these stories about people who are just blowing through money in some areas of their lives, and yet get super cheap in other areas. I suppose there’s a chance that the father in this story is trying to teach his kids an important lesson about the value of money by making them pay for part of their meal.
But for the mother in the story to obsessively hoard samples of shampoo and conditioner from hotels is a little more difficult to explain away, and it falls into the category of “completely bizarre” when you realize that she never actually uses any of those samples. Does she not know that she can afford to buy her own shampoo now?
