Statistically Unlikely Events That Happened to Everyday People

Well, I was hoping we wouldn’t have many more tragic examples on this list, but I suppose unlikely events come in all shapes and sizes – happy, sad, scary, and downright insane. A soldier being found dead on base in unknown circumstances is as sad as it is strange and unexpected…

Yet, I do think, in this case, that the discovery of the next-door neighbor connection puts a nice little end to the story. It’s not really a whole lot of consolation, but at least meeting and befriending the man who found him might provide some sort of closure twenty years later.
