#25: Mara Wilson
Mara Wilson was one of the biggest child actors in the 1990s. She started her career at age six with the role of Natalie Hillard in the popular film Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and went on to play Susan Walker in Miracle on 34th Street (1994), starring in the title character in Matilda (1996), and the role of Annabel Greening in A Simple Wish (1997).

However, the Hollywood environment and the pressure of an acting career were too much for her, and Wilson decided to retire from acting just as quickly as her career soared. While she showed a lot of potential, she decided it wasn’t the life she wanted for herself.
