Children think adults have freedom and adults think children have freedom and the unfortunate truth is that none of us has complete freedom. We live in a civilized society and there are certain rules and conventions we have to follow, so no one can have complete freedom to do whatever they want.

If can see why children think adults have freedom, because it seems like no one tells them what to do – but that’s not true. Social norms and conventions tell us what we can and can’t do, and to be honest, our parents tell us what to do even as adults – we always have their voice in our heads what’s right and wrong.
