#49: Don’t Pull
The pride a child has when they finally put letters to words and come out with meaning is fantastic, so I can’t fault Donna at all for pulling a fire alarm when she first learned to read. It’s almost a rite of passage. I sure hope she didn’t get into trouble. I’m sure the owners understood and even had a good laugh.

I bet it was pretty scary for her, too. That’s a very loud and frantic immediate consequence of such an innocent action. Gently tugging the flip and then suddenly hearing a loud wail and everyone going into a full-blown panic would scar me for life. I’m sure she never did it again and told all her friends what that box on the wall was for.
