Whether you agree or disagree, we’re featuring this list and you can determine which wild cats are the most beautiful as you peek at the photographs.

Sand Cat
These wild cats are named after the color of their fur. The fur of the sand cat tends to be a sand color and they have short legs with a broad body. These cats can survive in temperatures of 23 degrees Fahrenheit to 126 degrees Fahrenheit. When the weather gets too brutal for the sand cats, they burrow underground. You’ll usually find sand cats in Northern Africa, Southwest and Central Asia.

Canadian Lynx
These nocturnal wild cats are so beautiful with their dense and brown fur that turns red in the summer months. You’ll typically find these beautiful and rare wild cats hunting at night and resting during the day in the northern forests of Canada and Alaska. There are some other areas where Canadian Lynx has been seen such as Oregon, Montana, and Idaho in the United States.

Caracal
This rare and beautiful wild cat has become a pet in many regions where domesticated Caracal are allowed as exotic pets, but they’re typically found in the natural world around the wooden areas that have little rainfall such as woodlands and savannahs. Their most notable feature is the black tufts found on the back of their 1.75 inch long ears. These wild cats prefer to live alone, except during mating season.

Clouded Leopard
Clouded Leopards are a rare and beautiful cat breed for sure with their longer back legs and shorter front legs. This allows them to be good jumpers to jump on their prey as they hunt at night stalking their prey until pouncing them. These rare and beautiful wild cats can be found in open or closed forest areas especially the foothills of the Himalayas. Some people have spotted these cats in Bangladesh as well.

Jaguarundi
This beautiful wild cat has a long body and tail with short legs, almost looking like rabbit legs. This wild cat doesn’t fit into the nocturnal category like the other cats listed above, rather preferring to hunt during the daytime hours. Their fur can range from a brown to grey color and these beautiful cats typically live in Mexico and Texas.
These are just some of our favorite beautiful and rare wild cats found all around the world. It’s interesting to note that there are many other rare and beautiful wild cats to learn about, but these are the ones we felt made the top of the list.
