No pedestrians
We love it when signs use illustrations to warn us against doing certain things. The illustration does help drive the point home, don’t you think? They could’ve just written “Caution – no pedestrians” – but that wouldn’t have the same effect. Seeing this illustration of what might happen if you cross this area on foot is pretty powerful.
We should know better than to hang around in construction sight, but just in case children decide to play a game of hide and seek in the area, this kind of sign is important. That’s why it’s also useful to have the illustration – just in case those children can’t read. We know this kind of scenario is a long shot, but better safe than sorry, right?
