Yogurt by Cosmo
Cosmopolitan has been a popular women’s lifestyle magazine for decades. Not many people remember (or they’re repressed this memory), but back in the late nineties, it attempted to make its way into the food industry with Cosmopolitan brand yogurt. Unfortunately, the yogurt didn’t find success and Cosmo stopped production after only a year and a half.
It seems like a common trend that successful brands just don’t fare well when they attempt to make their way into multiple industries. In Cosmo’s case, their “5-Minute Flat-Abs Workout” and “63 Secrets to Love That Lasts” were much more valuable to their customers than a specially branded yogurt.
