It’s no secret that the British are huge fans of fish and chips, which is partially why we’ve featured a few fish and chips establishments. Manchipster Plaice is perfectly named and branded as a fish and chips restaurant. After all, plaice is a type of fish and the word “chips” is conveniently placed in the name, which sounds like “Manchester Place.”
While plaice isn’t commonly used in fish and chips recipes, this business had an opportunity to use a fish name in their business and couldn’t let it go to waste. Can you blame them? We love ourselves a good pun, and we love us some fish and chips, so this seems like the perfect place. It definitely goes on our bucket list.
