#7: Pregnancy Glow
You’ve probably heard about “pregnancy glow” before; you might have said it about someone, or you might have heard someone say that about you. Much like “pregnancy brain” and other pregnancy cliches, people tend to think pregnancy glow is a Hollywood myth and not a real thing.

While it’s definitely real, it doesn’t necessarily mean what we’d like to think. We’d like to think pregnancy glow refers to a beautiful aura pregnant women have, but in reality, it refers to her flushed, oily skin. That’s right – pregnant women tend to have flushed, shiny facial skin due to hormonal changes and the amount of blood rushing to their face. That’s where the term “pregnancy glow” comes from.
