#39: So Basically Only Water?
It’s common knowledge that there are a lot of foods and drinks pregnant women should avoid. Some foods and drinks can harm either the mother or the baby and thus should be avoided completely or consumed in small amounts. The list includes things that are more obvious, such as raw or partially-cooked foods (meats, fish, eggs, and even cheese), and things are a little less obvious.
It’s also well-known that pregnant women should avoid drinking coffee or other caffeinated drinks, alcoholic beverages, and junk food. Basically, they can’t enjoy any food or drink that’s considered a guilty pleasure. As you can imagine, the list of foods that are safe to eat while pregnant is pretty short.
