Define Insanity
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” That quote is famously misattributed to Albert Einstein, and we’re sure you’ve heard it a million times already. “The condition of being insane; derangement of the mind.” There’s also “extreme foolishness” and “a foolish or senseless action, policy, statement, etc.” In addition, there’s the definition from the judicial standpoint: “such unsoundness of mind as frees one from legal responsibility.” First originated in the 1580s. So, yeah. Those are the real meanings of insanity.
