The Customer Is Sometimes Right
“The customer is always right” is a phrase that’s touted throughout the service industry. It’s the holy grail, the sacred text to which every worker bee must adhere. But are they always right? This person challenges this saying head-on. “The customer is always right in matters of taste,” is their initial response.
Next, this person gives an example of a customer who’s going to pay extra for the clearly “extra” drink they purchased. Additionally, “Kyle and Karen” aren’t allowed to treat people badly just because they “happen to be handing over money at some stage of the interaction.” Kindness counts. Be kind.
