The hole in the BIC pen lid is the ultimate symbol of human idiocy! It’s as if the pen makers thought, “Hmm, people might be dumb enough to swallow our pen lids; let’s add a hole just in case!” I mean, what were the odds someone would actually need to use the pen lid as an impromptu snorkel? 

It’s a hilarious testament to our collective clumsiness, and honestly, I’m kinda impressed by the foresight. If anything, I’m eagerly awaiting the next big invention: edible staplers or perhaps airbags for paperclips.
