#18: A Bit Insensitive
This store’s marketing team clearly thought they were being clever—and instead walked straight into a PR disaster. “Black Fridays Matter”? Really? Somewhere, a room full of executives nodded in approval, completely missing why this might be, well, not the move.

It’s a perfect example of how not to mix activism with advertising. A sale slogan shouldn’t sound like it’s co-opting a social justice movement. What’s meant to be “edgy” just comes off as tone-deaf. Hopefully, someone in Diesel’s boardroom has since learned that not all puns are meant for print.
