#41: Razor-Backed Musk Turtles
Oh, the joys of having turtles as pets! Nothing beats the thrill of watching them slowly waddle around their tank, occasionally stopping to nibble on a piece of lettuce or stare at their own reflection. And let’s not forget the excitement of cleaning out their tank every few days, scooping out the murky water, and scrubbing away at the stubborn algae. Who needs a high-maintenance dog or cat when you can have a low-energy, low-maintenance turtle?
They’re definitely more up to speed with my daily levels of energy. Sure, they may not be the most affectionate pets, but they make up for it with their stoic and unchanging demeanor. And let’s not forget the delightful smell that wafts from their tank on particularly hot days – it’s like a breath of fresh air (if that breath was made up of turtle poop and rotting food). All in all, having turtles as pets is a truly unforgettable experience, as long as you’re prepared for the thrill ride of turtle ownership.
