You Got Me There
Here’s a, presumably, lighthearted exchange between a teacher and a student. We think the student deserves the “Outstanding Move” award here. “Teacher: Did you do your homework? Student: Did you grade my test? Teacher: I have other students’ tests to grade. Student: I have other teachers’ homework to do.”
Granted, that kind of response probably wouldn’t fly in most schools. Students are meant to respect teachers. However, respect is a two-way street. It’s earned, not freely given. Sometimes teachers abuse their power and exert too much control over their students in a dictatorial manner. Regardless, this student wins with that finishing move.
