Salar de Uyuni, also known as the Uyuni Salt Flat, is the world’s largest salt flat, and Bolivia’s most popular tourist attraction. The salt flat is a prehistoric lake that has dried over the years, resulting in a desert-like white salt landscape. What creates the famous mirror effect of the landscape is a think layer of calm water that formed on the ground (in a nutshell).
