#23: Kenny Rogers Roasters (1991)
In the ‘80s and ‘90s, many baby boomer celebrity restaurants became popular, one of which was founded by Kenny Rogers in 1991. Kenny Rogers Roaster served wood-fired rotisserie chicken and other roasted meats.
However, Nathan’s Famous bought them, with some of Nathan’s locations serving the chicken. The last US Roasters location closed in 2011. But this is another restaurant that is still massive in Asia, with over 150 locations in several countries.
