#35: Pass the Ladle
A ladle seems like the most unlikely family heirloom, but that’s exactly what happened in this particular family. The original poster of this photo owns a vintage ladle that was gifted to them by their mother. Their mom received the ladle as a wedding present many decades ago. After all these years, it’s still scooping up soup like nobody’s business.

This ladle is a classic, efficient design. You really can’t go wrong. It has a wooden handle and a metal body. There’s no plastic in sight, which is probably why it has lasted for so long. We don’t mean to hate plastic, but everyone can admit that metal is far more durable. This ladle might be a little scratched and worn around the edges, but that just means it’s well-loved.
