#26: Long Live the iPod
It’s hard to fathom that we have what’s considered “vintage” technology nowadays. We’re talking about “vintage” iPhones and iPods. Yes, it’s wild! The first iPod came out in 2001, just in time for the new millennium craze. This MP3 player revolutionized the way we listen to music on the go. There are quite a few people out there who still use their original iPod devices.
Someone who is a proud owner of their original iPod still uses it on a regular basis. They purchased this iPod with their first paycheck when they were 16 years old. It’s still going strong almost 20 years later. The color screen tells us that this is a later model, but it’s still astounding that it works. Sadly, Apple retired the iPod in 2022. This thing really is a relic of the past now!
