#21: SpongeBob SquarePants: Squidward and SpongeBob
If you like to spend your time in a pineapple under the sea (and who doesn’t?), you know that one of the more endearing qualities of SpongeBob SquarePants is his seemingly unending cheerfulness and optimism. No matter what happens, he just about always keeps a chipper attitude and a smile on his face.

He even manages to stay cheerful around his perpetually dour acquaintance, Squidward. Now, you might be inclined to chalk that up to his being too naive to realize he should probably leave Squidward alone. But maybe it’s actually a very deliberate choice on his part, which is pretty inspiring.
