Taro Pies
Get yourself a Taro Pie when you’re in China! You may be wondering, “What’s Taro, anyway?” Taro is a root that’s quite starchy and local to Asia. It tastes like sweet potatoes. As you can gather from the image below, the Taro Pie is shaped like a McDonald’s apple pie complete with a flaky crust and taro filling.
Of course, it’s understandable why this isn’t a menu item that spans countries and broaches international territories. This plant is only available in Asia. That being said, the Taro Pie is exclusive to China. We wonder why it’s not available on more Asian menus. Who knows? Regardless, the Taro Pie looks yummy.
