Shaka Shaka Chicken!
McDonald’s restaurants across Japan serve shaka shaka chicken, and you may be asking yourself what that means. It’s a piece of fried chicken accompanied with flavoring on the side. You can choose between BBQ, powdered cheese, or red pepper flakes. Then, you pour it into a bag and shake it up.
Or, if you’re not a shaker, you can simply sprinkle the flavoring on your chicken. But it’s not as fun. Boom! You’ve got yourself some shaka shaka chicken. This is reminiscent of the “shake and bake” pork chops that were all the rage before 2000. “It’s shake and bake and I helped!” We wonder which one came first – shaka shaka or shake and bake.
