McLobster?
Canada used to offer the McLobster on their Mickey D’s menus. We think it’s fairly self-explanatory based on its name. It’s literally a “burger” with lobster as the meat of choice. Lobsters are quite costly and normally served in higher-end establishments. In addition, lobster tends to taste better in more coastal areas wherein lobsters can be freshly fished.
This item failed to wow Canadians and was promptly stricken from the menu. Lobsters are popular, but as a burger? We’re not so sure about that. Not to mention, McDonald’s undoubtedly raised the price of the McLobster in comparison to its cheaper standard burger counterparts. You know, to cover the cost of securing lobsters in general.
