Since 2006, Cuba has been labeled an “Internet Enemy” by Reporters Without Borders, with the government blocking specific sites. This restriction, while not extensive, limits access to specific online content.

Internet censorship in Cuba has relaxed somewhat, allowing the public to buy computers legally since 2007. This has helped digital media become an increasingly vital tool for sharing news about Cuba globally.
