Not for the Goody Two Shoes: People Share Life Hacks That Are Morally Questionable

This suspicious hack sounds like something a college kid invented. Supposedly some people have figured out a way to essentially get free beer when they go to the grocery store. The way it works is that people rip the packaging off a case of beer. Then, they scan it as they lift the package up, so only one can of beer gets rung up.

We’re not exactly sure how this works, but maybe we’re just not cool enough. Someone always needs to check your ID when you buy alcohol through self-checkout, so we’re assuming an employee would notice that the packaging was tampered with during the process. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
