#24: Laundry Day
Oh, washing machine lid locks – now here’s a creation that reeks of sheer stupidity. I mean, seriously, who in their right mind thought, “You know what would be a fantastic safety feature? A lock on the washing machine lid!” Were people so desperate to dive headfirst into a spinning whirlpool of water and clothes that they needed a mechanical babysitter?

If you ask me, it’s just another way for manufacturers to charge more for a so-called “safety feature.” I bet you, the same person who invented this, also thought it was a bright idea to put a “Caution: Hot” warning on coffee cups. Give me a break – it’s certainly not necessary!
