#25: Giant Stingray vs. Fishermen
Imagine going fishing and reeling in this bad boy! Well, catching one of these freshwater stingrays is actually very rare, so it probably will never happen to you. But it happened for this group of fishermen. This 16-foot freshwater stingray was caught in a river in Southeast Asia. It caused quite a stir because very little is known about these elusive creatures.

The massive size of this stingray looks intimidating and scary, but freshwater stingrays are actually pretty gentle fish. This species was barely discovered by humans in the 1980s and very little is known about it, according to Wired. It’s wild to think that a 15-foot animal that looks like a giant sand dollar could be dwelling under the water without anyone knowing.
